The full name: Sephora Collection Outrageous Prisma Chrome Metallic Eyeshadow in Metallic Bronze. Woo, that’s a mouth full. I really couldn’t resist buying this, the colors in this collection were so inciting and they swatched beautifully. I would also pinned this as a dupe for the Laura Mercier Illuminating Eye Colour in Gilded Bronze (from the Art Deco Muse collection). The entire collection included about 9 colors, all of them shine beautifully.
The color is a warm darkened gold with a golden sheen. It does have tiny flecks of silver macro glitter that shines slightly iridescent in some lights. I didn’t experience any fallout with the glitter. I used three difference application techniques, my finger, a flat stiff brush, and a fluffy crease brush. Since this is a baked formula, I didn’t expect much color payoff with dry usage. I had a hard time getting the color to transfer evenly with my finger. The flat stiff brush worked well for packing on the color and getting it to look true to the pan. When using the fluffy brush, the sheen and glitter transfers more than the actual color. This wears for 6 hours with primer.
I used a wet a fluffy eyeshadow brush and applied the product, and whoa pigment city. It certainly intensifies the color, and one swipe across the lid was pretty intense.
My favorite way to use this is over a bronze cream eyeshadow (wet or dry). It really intensifies the color!
Overall
The baked formula applies pretty sheer when used dry, although you can really pack it on to get some good color payoff. If you want fast, intense color wet your brush before applying and you’ll get what you’re looking for. Once it’s applied evenly, it’s very beautiful and shines with many dimensions of color. It really lives up to the “prisma chrome” name, because that’s exactly how I would describe the finish. You may like this if you like shimmer and sparkle in a neutral shade. These are limited edition, so stock up while you can!
