It’s officially the last day of June! Summer is HERE! It has been ridiculously hot in Kansas City, we’re talking in the 100′s with lots of humidity. However every once in a while we get to have a nice sunny day with a little bit of wind, those days are the best! June has been a really good month, it’s hard to believe that 2013 is HALFWAY OVER. Seriously! June also marks the one year that I took a huge leap of faith and left my full-time job to pursue my career in the beauty industry. It seems like so long ago… but then it doesn’t…
Anyway, here’s my month in Instagrams:
I started off the month my attending my first wedding of the year. I think it’s kind of funny that I’ve done makeup for a ton of weddings this year, but I’ve only been to one. And I took this really cool picture.
Restocking my kit is a never-ending task. {booking inquiries}
I said goodbye my close friend, Margo (in the middle). She’s been chasing her dream of moving off to Cali ever since I met her. I was sad to see her go, but inspired by her hard work and determination. She would always say, “You gotta do what you gotta do…” and to this day, I still tell myself that. I miss you friend!
My grandma and I traveled up to Chicago for The Makeup Show! I had so much fun and learned so much, I can’t wait to go back next year! {read about my experience}
I’ve been playing with my new airbrush system that I got from The Makeup Show. One word: OBSESSED. It’s amaze.
I’ve been trying out Algenist for the past few weeks. I really like some of the products, I plan on doing a review soon.
I also am currently doing their 10 day challenge with their new Concentrated Reconstructing Serum. Currently on day 8!
I celebrated my 6 year anniversary with my bf 
I can’t believe it’s been that long!
I got a really good deal on some Butter London’s (almost 50% off)! I have on the color “Swinger” layered over some Rimmel green polish. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it!
I got to reunite with a really amazingly good friend from college (far left). She lives in Nebraska (BOO) and we (the two stooges on the right) don’t get to see her that often. It was just like old times!
And lastly, I’ve really just been hanging out. I’ve been enjoying the summertime on my deck with a beverage or two, and just living the good life
Because when you stop and look around, this life is pretty amazing.
